Reading Buddies
Join the Reading Buddies Program!
Teens provide leadership, responsibility and have community service opportunities while fostering a love of reading in elementary school students.
Each of our libraries has sessions where Little Buddies (students in grades 1-3) and Big Buddies (teen mentors in grades 9-12) are paired to read together, play reading-based games, and participate in group activities for an hour of one-on-one shared reading, once per week.
Reading Buddies is a partnership between the Eagle Valley Library District and The Literacy Project of Eagle County.
