The Eagle Valley Library District, in collaboration with our partners at the Eagle County Historical Society, wishes to make its collection of digital materials widely available to the general public. Your interests and ours will be best served by reading the following conditions and procedures for image use and reproduction.

By requesting and submitting payment for photos, you agree to the following:

  • All orders must be prepaid and are final.
  • Payment of use fee does not constitute and should not be viewed as permission by a copyright holder to reproduce works that are copyrighted.
  • Eagle Valley Library District gives no exclusive rights for the use of its material.
  • Permission is granted for a one‐time use only.
  • Reproductions of materials from the collections of the Eagle Valley Library District are provided under license agreement for purposes as indicated by the user and agreed upon by the library.
  • All responsibility regarding questions of copyright or invasion of privacy that arise in the use of this material must be assumed by the user.

 

The District requests, and is appreciative of receiving, a copy of the item containing the material that is published or produced. The preferred citation is as follows:

Eagle Valley Library District, in collaboration with the Eagle County Historical Society, charges a use based fee for digital copies of materials from the digital archive collection. The proceeds from this fee are split between library and the historical society, and go towards the continued preservation and storage of our one-of-a-kind collections.

Please note that prices are per image and per use, so users should calculate costs accordingly. Your order will not be filled until full payment is received. All orders must be prepaid and are final.

There are two ways to pay for historical photographs:

  1. PayPal (online)
  2. Personal Check or Cash (in-person or by mail)

 

How to: Pay with PayPal

  1. Click the button below and you will be redirected to a Paypal payment page. (Paypal requires an account to use its services through their website.)
  2. Assure you have calculated your costs correctly. See the Image Fee Schedule if you are unsure on how much you owe. If you still have questions, our local history librarian would be happy to assist you.
  3. If you’re paying for a non-local commercial use ($20 or $40 per photo) multiply the number of photos you are purchasing by 2 or 4 to pay the correct amount.
  4. Follow the prompts on the following pages.
  5. EVLD immediately receives a notice that your payment has been sent. Your photographs will be sent to you within 1 business day in the format requested.
