6:00pm - 7:30pm

Have you ever looked up at the night sky and wondered what is out there? There are up to a million people world wide who do something about that question. They have taken up the hobby of astrophotography. In this program Rick Spitzer will show you some strategies for taking photos of some of those hidden gems and events without breaking the bank. Binoculars, spotting scopes, high end astro equipment, and even your smartphones will be discussed. The objects you can photograph include celestial objects we can’t see with the naked eye, including galaxies, nebula, and star clusters. There are also events we can see and photograph like eclipses, meteor showers, fireballs, and auroras. All from your backyard! You simply need to know how to get started.
