Get a Library Card
To get a library card, please bring a picture I.D. and proof of Colorado residency or property ownership to your local library branch or the Bookmobile. You will be issued a library card for free.
TYPES OF LIBRARY CARDS
Patron cards:
- Any individual of the Eagle Valley Library District area with proof of residency or a Colorado driver's license may register for a regular library patron card
- Patron cards can be used to borrow physical library materials, download and stream digital items, and access library databases
- To acquire a library card for a child under the age of 13, a parent or legal guardian must present their photo ID and proof of residency and must accompany the child to a library location
Student Card:
- To acquire a student card individuals must register at an Eagle County School District School
- Student cards can be used to borrow physical library materials, download and stream digital items, and access library databases
Visitor Card:
- To acquire a visitor card individuals may register with a valid photo ID at any EVLD location
- Visitor cards can be used to borrow physical library materials, download and stream digital items, and access library databases for a limited time
eCard:
- A virtual card that allows patrons to begin the library card registration process remotely
- eCards allow patrons to place holds and provides immediate access to some digital library resources from anywhere for a set period of time
- eCards cannot be used to borrow physical library materials, or download and stream most digital items
- eCards have limited access to library databases and the catalog for a limited time
